★ ABOUT BETTY

HI, I'M
BETTY.

I run the bets, count the points, and keep the receipts for tournament predictions between you and your friends. Pick a cup, gather your crew, and let the leaderboard sort out who actually knows their football.

★ HI, I'M BETTY
★ WHAT

A SOCIAL PREDICTIONS GAME.

Betty is a free game for tournament predictions. Each group sets its own house rules, everyone bets on exact match results, and points roll in as games go final. No money, no spreadsheets — just bragging rights, settled in public.

● WHO

YOUR SCOREKEEPER.

Betty was born in Varberg in 2021, out of one too many half-broken Excel sheets and a group chat that wouldn't stop arguing about whether Anna's bet "really counted." She's the bookkeeper, the timekeeper, and the receipts. She handles the math. You handle the banter.

★ HOW IT WORKS

THREE STEPS. NO FINE PRINT.

★ SET
01

Make a group

Pick a tournament, set your points-per-correct, share one invite link. Thirty seconds, tops.

● BET
02

Lock the bets

Predict exact scores for every match. Bets close at kickoff — no refunds, no edits, no excuses.

★ WIN
03

Climb the board

Live standings, group chat, a podium for the winner — and a permanent record once the tournament wraps.

★ WHY BETTY

EVERYTHING YOU NEED.
NOTHING YOU DON'T.

Built by football fans, for football fans. Free forever, no ads, no money on the line — just the bits that make tournament season more fun with your crew.

★ FREE FOREVER

No subscriptions

No paywalls, no premium tiers, no in-app purchases. Every feature, every tournament, every group — free.

● ALL PLATFORMS

Web, iOS & Android

Bet from your phone on the train, the desk at work, or the couch on matchday. Same group, same points, every device.

★ REAL-TIME

Live leaderboards

Points update the second a match goes final. Your group's standings — and the global leaderboard — refresh in real time.

★ GROUP CHAT

Smack-talk built in

Every group ships with a chat. React to bets, taunt the leader, screenshot receipts. Betty doesn't moderate the banter.

● HOUSE RULES

Your scoring, your call

Bigger exact-score bonuses for chaos, smaller for a steady race. The admin sets the points before kickoff.

★ PRIVATE BY DEFAULT

Invite-only groups

Only people with the invite link join. Flip a group to public if you want a wider field — your call, never ours.

Getting started & groups

8 questions
How do I create a group?

Sign in, hit + New Group, pick a tournament, set your house rules, and share the invite link. The whole thing takes about thirty seconds.

How do I invite friends?

Every group has a single shareable invite link and a short join code. Drop the link in your group chat, your WhatsApp, your Slack — anyone with the link can join. No accounts needed in advance; sign-up happens on first click.

Is Betty free?

Yes. Betty is free. No subscriptions, no premium tier, no money on the line. Bragging rights are the whole prize.

How many people can be in one group?

There's no hard cap. We've seen groups with three friends and groups with two hundred coworkers — both work fine. Performance is the same either way.

Can I be in more than one group?

Yes. Make a group with friends, another with coworkers, another with the in-laws. They're fully independent — your bets and points don't mix between groups.

Are groups private?

By default, yes. Only people with the invite link can join. You can also flip a group to public — anyone can browse and join from the Public Groups page — handy for office leagues and big tournaments.

Can I leave a group?

Yes, any time. Open the group, scroll to settings, leave. Your existing bets stay in the record so the leaderboard is honest, but you stop accruing points from that moment.

Who can change the house rules?

The group admin — whoever created the group. Points-per-correct and other house rules can be edited up until the first match kicks off. Once the first whistle blows, rules are locked for fairness.

Bets, scoring & points

7 questions
How do I place a bet?

Open a match in your group, type the exact score you predict (e.g. 2–1), confirm. You can keep editing your bet right up until kickoff.

When do bets lock?

At kickoff. The moment the first whistle blows, the bet is final — no edits, no refunds, no excuses. If you didn't bet in time, that match awards you zero points.

How are points calculated?

Each group sets its own points-per-correct. A typical setup:

3 points for the exact score (e.g. you bet 2–1, it ends 2–1). 1 point for getting the result right (winner or draw) but not the score. 0 points for anything else.

Bigger exact-score bonuses make for chaos and big comebacks. Smaller bonuses keep the race steady. The admin picks the values.

What about extra time and penalties?

Bets are scored on the result at full time (90 minutes plus stoppage). Extra time and penalty shootouts don't change the bet — same as bookmakers' standard.

What if a match is postponed or cancelled?

Postponed matches stay open until the new kickoff time, then lock as normal. Cancelled matches award no points to anyone and aren't counted toward the leaderboard.

How do tiebreakers work?

If two players are level on points, Betty ranks by total exact-score bets — most exact-score hits wins. If you're still tied after that, the group chat usually settles the rest.

Can I see other people's bets before kickoff?

By default, no. Other players' bets stay hidden until kickoff, when they all reveal at once.

Groups can flip on sneak peek in settings — when enabled, everyone can see each other's bets before the match starts. Handy for groups that want to argue about predictions in advance instead of after. The admin sets it; it applies to the whole group.

Tournaments supported

5 questions
Which tournaments can I bet on?

Major football tournaments — World Cup 2026, Euro 2028, Women's World Cup 2027, Copa America, AFCON — plus selected league seasons like the Premier League and Allsvenskan. We add new tournaments as they kick off.

When are new tournaments added?

Fixtures and brackets get loaded a few weeks before kickoff, once the draws are final. Group setup opens immediately after — beat the rush and you'll have more people locked in by the opening match.

Do you cover women's football?

Yes. We've run groups for the Women's World Cup 2023, Women's Euro 2025, and we're already set up for the Women's World Cup 2027. Same mechanics, same free, same Betty.

What about leagues — Premier League, Allsvenskan?

Yes. League seasons run a bracket-free format: bet matchweek by matchweek, and the leaderboard runs across the whole season. Same scoring, just a longer race.

Can I request a tournament?

Yes. Email support@betty.social or use the feature request form on the support page. We've added Floorball World Cups, Women's Euros, and more from user requests.

Account, data & privacy

5 questions
How do I sign up?

Sign in with Google, Apple, or email + password. Takes about ten seconds. Betty never asks for your phone number or payment info — there's no money involved.

What data does Betty store?

Your name, email, profile picture (if you add one), and the bets you place. That's it. We don't sell it, don't share it with advertisers, and don't surface it outside your groups.

Will other players see my email?

No. Group members see your name and profile picture, never your email or any personal contact info. Your inbox stays yours.

How do I delete my account?

Account settings → Delete account. Everything goes — bets, points, group memberships — and we send a confirmation email when it's done. GDPR-compliant, no follow-up emails, no "are you sure" loops.

How do I contact support?

Email support@betty.social or use the support page. A real human reads everything — usually replies within a day.

★ TIPS

GETTING THE MOST OUT OF BETTY.

  • Invite early. Bets lock at kickoff, so the sooner the group is full, the more matches everyone gets to bet on.
  • Set points that match the vibe. Bigger exact-score bonuses = more chaos and bigger comebacks. Lower bonuses = a slower, steadier race.
  • Use the group chat. The smack-talk is half the point. Betty doesn't judge.
  • Check the global leaderboard. Curious how you stack up beyond your own crew? It's right in the menu.
  • Don't sleep on the opening match. First bet of the tournament sets the tone — and skipping it is the most common way to fall behind.
